Introduction to Imagestream

The introduction to ImageStream cytometry course is a 3-hour course that is divided into two parts. During the first part, the basics on how the ImageStream works and its similarity and differences with conventional flow cytometry will be presented. Various examples of the most common ImageStream applications will be shown and tips and tricks and potential pitfalls for experimental set up will be discussed. The second part is a hands on / interactive instruction (in the RSC computer class room) on using the IDEAS analysis software. For this part the basic features of the IDEAS software are explained by analyzing actual data sets.

As a follow-up to this introductory course, one-on-one sessions should be scheduled with our operators for instruction on instrument set up and data acquisition.
